On Sunday, January 26th, Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna “Gigi” Bryant were involved in a deadly helicopter crash in a hillside in Southern California. It was recently confirmed that nine passengers including Bryant were aboard the helicopter. However, Los Angeles Sheriff, Alex Villanueva reported that it would be inappropriate to reveal names of the remaining six victims until further evidence was identified.
According to ESPN, “The chopper went down in Calabasas, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, after departing John Wayne Airport in Orange County at 9:06 a.m. PT. The first 911 call reporting the crash was received at 9:47 a.m.”
The LAPD Air Support Division is still evaluating the details of the crash and the weather from that morning, but it has been reported by Josh Rubenstein of the LAPD that the weather conditions that morning didn’t meet their “minimal requirements.”
Kobe & Gianna Bryant leave spouse and mother, Vanessa Bryant and daughters/sisters, Natalia Diamante Bryant, Bianka Bella Bryant and Capri Kobe Bryant.
*This is still a developing story.*
